The Navagraha Temple Tour is a sacred pilgrimage covering nine historic temples in the Cauvery Delta region of Tamil Nadu. Each temple is traditionally associated with one of the nine celestial bodies: Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Angaraka (Mars), Budha (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Sukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu and Ketu. The nine shrines are spread across the Kumbakonam, Thiruvarur, Mayiladuthurai and Karaikal regions.
This 3 Days / 2 Nights Navagraha Temple Tour from and to Madurai is specially designed for devotees who want to complete the entire Navagraha circuit within a short period. Since the journey from Madurai to the Cauvery Delta and back involves considerable road travel, the itinerary uses an early start and groups temples according to their locations.
Accommodation is not included in this package. Travellers can arrange their own accommodation in Kumbakonam or another convenient location.
